What’s in your share?

  • Heirloom and Slicing Tomatoes

  • Cherry Tomatoes

  • White Onions

  • Cucumbers

  • Zucchini

  • Eggplant

  • Parsley

  • Shishito Peppers (maybe)

This is only half of the harvest!

It’s tomato season! We just harvested the first flush of the season! The plants were absolutely loaded with fruit and now its a race to distribute them before the fruit flies learn where they are :) In the rare case that you can’t eat all of your tomatoes before next week, they are the easiest fruit to preserve! Freezing, canning, or just making them into a refrigerator sauce will extend the shelf life.

recipes to try

Anchovy Gazpacho (anchovies not necessary but provide some umami)

Tomato, Peach, and Buratta Salad

Bruschetta (perfect for cherry tomatoes)

Blistered Shishito Peppers

Moroccan Spiced Eggplant Stew

We harvested just under 1,000 pounds of tomatoes this week! The first flush is always insane, requiring a ton of time and heavy lifting, but we love tomatoes and know you do, too!
