It’s pretty much the last week of summery shares. Greens are making a comeback next week, as are the potatoes. On the topic of potatoes, we are seeing the WORST yields we’ve ever seen. Everyone’s first thought when we tell them is how dry it was this summer, but we have a great irrigation system, and irrigated as much as we did any season. It could be a myriad of reasons, but we’re thinking it was our seed. Our seed source over the past few years has had more disease each season, and we’re thinking its time to switch it up our source, or start saving some of our own seed. Anyways, the potatoes are yielding 1/3 of what we normally harvest, so needless to say, it’s been a little sad over here. Here is a cute video that makes us feel better.

In better news, our winter squash patch looks great and soon, we’ll be adding those to the shares.

Get ready for greens. Ali and Alex cultivating on Monday. We love this time of year because we can take the time to weed every bed and tidy up the field.
