Sam’s favorite way to eat it is to roast it and put a half stick of butter and some brown sugar in it - dinner and dessert in one! All the varieties of our winter squash have been cured, toughening the outer skin and creating a protective layer for storage. Fun fact: acorn squash develops an orange-yellow spot on the skin when it’s ripe!

STORAGE: Store in a cool, dark place. Do not store in the fridge. Basements are great storage places. Acorn squash can last 2-3 months if stored correctly.
